That seems exceptionally nit-picky, but I'll take your advice.
And to try to answer your question, I doubt the average internet user (my target market) notices a scroll difference. Moreover, they might appreciate being able to get to the content they want faster. Ultimately, though, I have a million other things on my to-do list. So yeah, I missed catering to one group of nitpickers.

It would be helpful if you could explain why smooth scroll is annoying. I've never heard anyone say that, about any site.
