This guy was the man in terms of late 60s tripped out covers for Impulse. He worked with Ray Charles, Bill Evans, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Betty Carter, Count Basie, Pharaoh Sanders (who's also the man) and numerous times with Archie Shepp, Elvin Jones, and Albert Ayler.
If you're a jazz fan I would suggest getting basically every album pictured in the article.
