The BBC has done something really great - video interviews and profiles on everyone that was on the cover of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the album on June 1st.

--edit: If you have an ad blocker installed the videos are...blocked. Turn it off.

The BBC really needs to step up their tech game, they have such great content, but accessibility is problematic.

Carl Jung, of Pepsi Cola fame. in his interview talked about the sex drive and the inferiority complex.

Carl, they're the same #@*&%^ thing.

Hadn't heard God On Our Side in a long time. As I listened, he was singing about Manifest Destiny.
I wonder if we are still experiencing the same thing on a global basis.

Fantastic.
Whenever I think of The Beatles, particularly attempting to select their best work, not song, I always
start with Rubber Soul.
However, it is impossible not to have my musical mind say Sgt. Pepper.

I don't think there isn't an absolute answer.

P.S. I cannot put the White Album in the same category

Now you have me thinking.

For best song I am torn between You've Got to Hide Your Love Away and Norwegian Wood

What?!!!

Heathen! Blasphemer! Kill the witch!

; )

While it's totally disjointed and weird I think The White Album is tied with Abbey Road as the best album the Beatles put out.

Rubber Soul was pretty good too.

As for Sgt. Pepper...I certainly like it but it's not the one I always go back to.

The collection of clips and interviews they've assembled is amazing.
