My two favorite music genres are metal and Latin. When I tell people I like death metal AND cumbia, I get weird looks. Like, brah, can't I listen to grindcore and reggaeton without seeming like a weirdo to Latin music fans and being a "fake metalhead" to the metal fans? Because of my love of the two genres, I have only found ONE band that combines the two (Metalachi, you gotta check them out) but they don't have much presence in the metalverse iykwim...
So being a metalhead who wants to expand her horizons and honor the Latino culture, can y'all recommend some Latin artists that will please even the brutalest and pickiest of metalheads? I already like Selena and Julio Iglesias, but I might not seem like the most metal person if I express that proudly...
