Love the movies or cinema or films? How about cinematography, production deals, or trailers? This is the headcycle to talk about movies.
"We live in a box of space and time. Movies are windows in its walls. They allow us to enter other minds, not simply in the sense of identifying with the characters, although that is an important part of it, but by seeing the world as another person sees it."
-- Roger Ebert
I just saw "Dolemite Is My Name" and it's...really great. It's Eddie's love note to film, comedy, and blaxploitation, and it's absolutely amazing. It's the ultra underdog story, it's well acted, shot, cinematography, etc.
See it. Also watch the interview. Eddie is very soft spoken, and weirdly great.
The fact that Eddie researched this flick for 15 years and finally got it made is pretty amazing.
