On one hand Brussels want to save its EV market, so that's probably not good for consumers in terms of cost.
On the other hand if cheap Chinese EVs get everyone to swtich from ICE vehicles, that's good for consumers and the environment.
On the other hand if cheap Chinese EVs are total crap and just end up in a landfill, like all of the bikes they produced, that's bad for the environment.
Basically I think it boils down this - producing fewer cheap Chinese EVs is better for the environment, and at some point humans are going to have to stop producing so much stuff and pay more for their consumption.
Still, it could be argued either way (and environmentalists' heads will explode).
